• thaumaturgy - the must pick for all Magic heroes and builds.

A Tier

• battlecraft

• nightshade-magic - this is the only magic school skill considered as A-tier because of a subskill granting -10% attack and defense to enemy.

• sorcery

• battle-magic

• resistance - great situational choice, instead of other lower tier skills, this one can change the finalka output. mostly picked after 1st finalka when you are confident that enemy goes heavy magic build.

B Tier

• arcane-magic, daylight-magic, primal-magic - the magic school skills considered situational and lacking scaling, you can reach maximum level spells by other more usefull skills and alchemic dust.

• leadership, luck - both are RNG dependant and rarely picked as a standalone skill. current meta shifted away to direct damage output and damage modifiers. still usable and might be valuable in combination with creature abilities and faction laws of temple, dungeon, necropolis

• tactics - can bring an impactful suprise to an opponent and win you first intiative, proper army arrangement. mostly affects the finalka gameplay and doesn't assist map scouting. almost never picked before 1st finalka and is highly situational.

• recruitment - highly situational, template specific and time to discover dependant. Recruitment can shine when offered during early and mid game, yet there are too much S-, A- tier skills so you almost never picking among B-tier skills.

• combat - only few heroes and factions resolve their gameplay around Combat skill and Heroic Strike ability, other than that the scaling is too low for early game and mid game.

• insight - has a very low return on investment curve and doesn't provide guaranteed help during early stage of game. Meta shifted towards direct fights amplification, army power and map scouting.

C Tier

• diplomacy - highly random, requires a lot of gold, graduates closer to 3rd finalka which is rare in current meta (80% of matches end before it), requires a full artifact set to shine, even with dungeon Law increasing chance by 20% is still weak.

• summon-avatar - after many nerf patches almost unpickable, but some heavy spell power builds when you didnt roll for better options can make a surprise for opponent during finalka. still a good choice to tank complex map fights.

F Tier

• siegecraft

1. clear the map efficiently;
