Quick Summary
The Alvari Cup has reached its semifinal stage. RitoSux defeated Ordulops007 today to become the first finalist, while Roniu and Lexiav will play for the second spot tomorrow.
Finals expected to start 10-11 October
The Alvari Cup continues with four of the strongest players in the current Olden Era competitive scene.
Today's semifinal featured Ordulops007 vs RitoSux, with RitoSux securing the first place in the Grand Final. He now gets another opportunity to convert his current form into a tournament title after losing 1–2 to Lexiav in the Exodus Invitational semifinal.
The second semifinal takes place tomorrow: Roniu vs Lexiav.
That matchup comes at an interesting moment on the ladder. Roniu has spent a long period around the Top 3–5, while Lexiav recently climbed from his more familiar Top 10 range into Rank 4, putting the two players increasingly close together.
The recent ladder activity is likely being helped by the approaching major patch and full leaderboard reset, with several top players making late pushes before the current rating season ends.
