By accessing Town Portal (townportal.gg), accepting the Overlay installer agreement, or installing or using TownPortal Overlay, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the site or install or use the Overlay.
Town Portal is a free community resource for Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era fans. We provide tier lists, guides, news, and other community content. The site is operated independently and is not affiliated with Ubisoft or Unfrozen.
You may create an account to contribute content. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. You must provide accurate information when registering. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.
By submitting content (articles, guides, tier lists), you grant Town Portal a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content on the site. You retain ownership of your content.
You must not submit content that is illegal, defamatory, infringing on third-party rights, or unrelated to Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era.
Game assets, names, and trademarks related to Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era belong to their respective owners (Ubisoft, Unfrozen). Town Portal uses such materials under fair use for informational and community purposes only.
Original content created by Town Portal (site design, original text, code) is the property of Town Portal.
Town Portal is a free service supported in part by advertising. By using the site, you acknowledge that advertisements may be displayed.
TownPortal Overlay is an optional desktop companion application for Windows, built on the Overwolf platform, that recognizes on-screen information while you play Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era (matchmaking, draft, and hero-pick screens) and displays your and your opponent's TownPortal ranked statistics.
The Overlay runs on top of, and in cooperation with, Overwolf's platform and services. By installing or using the Overlay, you also agree to Overwolf's Platform Terms of Use and acknowledge its Platform Privacy Policy, which govern the Overwolf platform itself — Town Portal does not control how Overwolf operates its platform.
Core Overlay features (match recognition, stat lookups) are free to use. We may in the future offer optional premium features (for example, deeper statistics or additional customization) as paid upgrades. Any such premium tier is separate from, and unrelated to, the community support options described on our Support page — supporting Town Portal financially does not unlock premium Overlay features, and any premium Overlay features we introduce will never be required to use the site or the Overlay's core functionality.
The Overlay may display advertising served through Overwolf's advertising platform, including ads from Overwolf's advertising partners. See our Privacy Policy for what the Overlay collects and processes.
Automatic contribution of structured game observations is required when you use the Overlay. There is no disable-upload mode. Raw screenshots are processed locally and are not uploaded, but recognized data from matchmaking, draft, leaderboard, and match-history screens is automatically sent to TownPortal as described in our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this contribution, do not install or use the Overlay.
You authorize TownPortal to store, validate, combine, reconcile, and publish contributed game facts and aggregate statistics. Observations may be probabilistic, provisional, conflicted, corrected, or superseded as additional evidence becomes available; we do not guarantee that every recognition or derived record will be accurate.
You must not fabricate observations, replay them under different identifiers, impersonate another installation or player, intentionally flood the service, evade technical limits, or otherwise interfere with ingestion or reconciliation. We may reject or limit submissions and suspend an installation or account when necessary to protect the service and its data.
Town Portal is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of community-submitted content. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site.
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the site or the Overlay after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
