Quick Answer

Dankan has become one of the biggest stories of the Exodus and Outcast Invitational.

After eliminating Easy2 - the tournament’s highest-rated and perhaps most feared participant - Dankan is now among the final six players and will face Gluhammer for a place in the next round.

His answers are as direct as his tournament run: “Training is for those who don’t know how to play.”

His road to the semifinal included the tournament’s biggest shake-out: an epic BO3 victory over Easy2, the number-one player on the Olden Era ladder and the opponent several Invitational participants said they feared most.

The series began with one of the tournament’s most extraordinary performances. Easy2 reached 30 Spell Power with Vatawna before the first fight, creating a position Dankan considered impossible to overcome.

But the series did not end there.

Easy2 was eliminated by a neutral army in the second game, and Dankan completed the comeback by winning the decisive third map. What initially looked like another dominant Easy2 series instead became the result that changed the entire tournament bracket.

Dankan now faces Gluhammer in the Quarterfinal on July 23, with the winner advancing to the semifinal rounds.

His interview is short, confident and occasionally brutal. Dankan talks about highrolling, the secret economic-hero meta, the opponent he truly fears - and why he apparently has no need for special tournament preparation.

The answers have been lightly edited for grammar and clarity while preserving Dankan’s original meaning and laconic style.

Big Kudos to Dankan

Dankan has already produced one of the defining results of the Exodus and Outcast Invitational.

Eliminating Easy2 would have been a major achievement under any circumstances. Doing it after facing a nearly impossible 30-Spell-Power opening - and then surviving a full three-game series - made the result one of the tournament’s most memorable stories.

Now Dankan is no longer simply the player who delivered the biggest drama. He is a quarterfinalist, few matches away from competing for the Invitational finals.

His prediction is a grand final against Kietaka. First, he must overcome Gluhammer on July 23.

Whatever happens next, Dankan has already earned his place among the standout players of the tournament.

More interviews with Invitational participants will be published throughout the playoffs as part of TownPortal’s Invitational Voices series.
