Kalich was one of only 16 players invited to the Exodus and Outcast Invitational. His tournament run may be over, but reaching this field was already an achievement - and his games showed that he could compete with its strongest participants.
Against Lexiav, Kalich won the first decisive fight in both games while making very few critical mistakes. As he puts it himself, what happened afterwards is another story.
Kalich has been playing Heroes for more than 20 years, beginning with Heroes of Might and Magic V and Haven. His answers are direct, self-aware, and probably contain more GAMBA than any interview TownPortal will publish during this tournament.

Q1 How long have you been playing Heroes, and which faction did you play first?
I’ve been playing Heroes for more than 20 years.
My first memorable game was Heroes of Might and Magic V. Haven was the first faction I played because the campaign begins with it.
Q2 Which faction impressed you the most during the tournament, and which was the biggest disappointment?
hive was the most pleasant faction for me to watch in action.
schism was the least impressive - but I simply don’t like the faction. Its balance feels broken, and the overall aesthetic is just not for me.
Q3 Who is stronger in the current meta: Might or Magic heroes?
Magic heroes.
That is also one of the reasons I dislike playing against factions such as schism. With the current balance, playing against mages or Schism sometimes doesn’t feel fair - but maybe that’s just me.
Q4 How did you like the Outcast Tournament template? Would you like to play more of it?
I don’t like box-based templates because box positioning is currently too random.
If that changes, I will definitely play and enjoy the template more.
Q5 Did you prepare specifically for your opponents?
I would say no, but I played in private lobbies with some of the tournament participants as general practice.
Q6 Which tournament moment are you most satisfied with?
I won the first finalkas in both games against Lexiav while making very few critical mistakes.
What happened after that? That’s another story.
Q7 Which opponent did you fear the most?
No one.
We play tournament templates, so we don’t actually fight each other in person - there is nothing to fear!
I only fear myself throwing away my win.
Q8 Which player or moment impressed you most during the tournament?
Getting zero Vori Ruins in my first game.

Rito iz da beast.

Q10 How much did GAMBA affect your games?
GAMBA is everything.
It affects every aspect of my life and every aspect of the game. You only need to remember one rule:
Trust in Gamba, so Gamba trusts in you.
Q11 How do you expect the competitive scene to look by the end of the year?
Everybody will throw their entire army into a Chimerologist.
It’s my dream.
