Quick Summary
The Single Hero leaderboard now requires more than 3100 MMR to enter the Top 200, while Feeder, also known as RitoSux, leads at 5900+ MMR. A major late-September patch is expected to reset the ladder and introduce a new MMR system.
Rating inflation continues to push the current Single Hero ladder higher, but this era of the leaderboard is approaching its end.
The upcoming late-September patch is expected to bring major balance changes, additional improvements, and a full leaderboard reset.
According to information shared informally by Olden Era's lead game designer, the new rating system will not simply follow the traditional chess Elo model. More importantly, it should behave very differently from the current system, where ratings can continue climbing to extremely high values.
Hitting 3k will be way harder, so the ratings will get more compressed.
Reaching 3000 rating is expected to become significantly harder after the reset. That should keep players distributed more closely across the ladder, potentially improving matchmaking by making similarly rated opponents easier and faster to find.
We will update our rankings and analytics as soon as the new system goes live.
