Exodus Gameplay Quick Overview

Quick Answer

Develop your towns, grow your army, and break through progressively stronger guards to reach richer zones.

The free town-portal spell lets you efficiently collect weekly army growth from multiple towns. Reaching the Desert as early as possible is one of the most important win conditions on Exodus.

Exodus is the most popular template in public multiplayer lobbies and a frequent tournament choice.

Its core gameplay revolves around town development, which is the main source of long-term army growth. Players gradually break through guarded zones, collect artifacts, improve hero attributes, and gather the resources needed to recruit weekly creature growth.

By the end of Week 3, you may need around 100,000–200,000 gold to upgrade and recruit your full army.

The map is symmetrical and divided between the players, but guards, rewards, and map objects are generated randomly. The game remains in simultaneous turns, and players cannot enter each other’s side of the map.

PvP battles happen automatically as scheduled duels on predetermined in-game days.
